Thinking...thinking...what would this describe?  What memories, what event?
It feels like all energy is sapped, all but completely spent, as though a battery has wound down, as though each beat of the heart struggles, as if each pulse falters before it manages to pound.   The whole entity dithers and trembles and the brain jerks.   Coldness forms on body parts, ears, cheeks, the tip of the nose, lips, the shins but the knees burn.  The mind tells me crisis point.  You must lie down, be still, be quiet, breathe.  Calm -

Hello Jane:
Take your cue from the Natural World and when leaves are being shed and animals hibernating it is good to slow down and nurture the body and spirit. Be kind to yourself, keep warm and enjoy some special treats. It is always darkest before the dawn, but, when morning breaks, there are always new wonders to discover.

Hello dear Jane,
I am so sorry this has been such a hard time for you. I wish there was something I could do for you. You know that if I lived close I would tuck you in a warm blanket and give you chicken soup and we would play cards and chat a the day long.
warm hugs from here...

The photo: leaving or arriving? I hope you're getting some good rest and finding a peaceful place to be, both mentally and physically.

Take care of yourself in the most loving way possible.

A snuggly blanket and meditative music to coax your attention away from the yawning blackness. (Remember my magic bubble? A great time to get yours out and let it waft you off to someplace bright, pleasant, easy.) Visualization helps keep your thoughts from turning in on themselves and spiraling down into the dark places. When it seems that so much of your life is beyond your control, always remember only you have control over your thoughts. They only go where you tell them to, so guide them to a peaceful place. Music helps -- particularly a piece of music that you love and find very restful and evocative. It might also help to use the same music every time. Sending you an **e-hug**

Precious Janie, the ebb & flow of life and all the cycles and seasons is ever-changing. I don't want you to be depressed or sad even though you may deserve to be. Your writing along with this photograph is beautiful, and only a soaring spirit could put the 2 together. I wish some of our warm Texas sun could find its way to you. Everyone says when the weather is overcast and gloomy our moods feel the same way. I am sending you big hugs, my darling friend, and I will light a candle in your honor...it's bright flame will shine over my home, and I'll be thinking of you always as you return to good health.

This reminds me of the drive up to a favourite inn on the coast of Massachusetts. Best visited at precisely that time of year, the cusp of winter, to better guarantee warm fires and sherry by the bed.

Perhaps that's just the sort of getaway you need just now?

I sincerely hope that with the passage of time you have arrived at a place filled with contentment.
There are events that test the spirit,
fill the heart with longing and bring forth thoughts of pain.
But alas after every storm there is a clearing of the clouds, a rich blueness to the sky and sometimes even a rainbow.
Take care my dear...

Dear Jane, sending you a huge hug & thinking of you. Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to visit. A very big thank you by the by for your words on my earlier post. "Birds of a feather" is a good anology and i love the flock that gathers here & about. The photo reminds me of a recurring dream I have in which i am always walking down steps in the middle of a tiny peaceful village, i turn the corner and find myself in the middle of a huge crowd of noisy, chaotic shoppers - shudder lol. I never figured out what it all means ;-) Take care precious lady x x
