later that night
I held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole
world
and whispered
where does it hurt?
it answered
everywhere
everywhere
everywhere.

I would have said that there aren't any words to sum up those awful atrocities but they are perfect Jane. XXXX
I think you actually heard this.
How truly sad.
much love, Jane...
Dearest Jane, this is what I have been thinking of so much lately. How so many of the people of the world are hurting and it seems no end in sight for so many. Sometimes it's almost too much to bear isn't it?
How I wish I could pop over for a good chat with you my dear. How wonderful that would be!
sending love...
Oh, Jane, this is so beautiful and sad. I love what that poem tells us in such few words. I'm glad you posted it, and the image is perfect. I'm going to look up this writer. Thank you.
There's just so much violence and brutality in the world that it's gotten to the point where I've just stopped watching the news. I don't mean to sound insensitive because, yes, I deplore the violence and, yes, I feel sorry for the victims and their families, but there are so many of them and it keeps on happening, day after day, and my life is already so stressful I just have to say, that's it. I can't do this anymore. I have to concentrate on family and friends, and the right here, right now, and that takes all the emotional energy I have.
Dear Jane, what words. They speak volumes, my heart weeps for our world and its people.
Sending hugs and sorry i haven't popped over for such an age x x
