Artist:- Edward Robert Hughes, 1851-1914

'part of doing something is listening.
We are listening
to the sun
to the stars
to the wind.'

-Madelaine L'Engle-

I've been doing this for the month past...reading and listening to the wind plucking the leaves from the trees.  Time whirls about us all and our lives move inexorably onwards.  I hope to return to writing soon....
That face in Edward's painting is so hauntingly full of beauty.

Have to share this:

If you go to the MP3 section you can listen to samples. It's music for traveling by bubble to scenic garden places. Goes perfectly with the poem and picture, too.

Good to hear from you again.

She truly is a beauty dear Jane. Hauntingly-just like you say.
The wind howled here yesterday and took many of the beautiful leaves with it. I know that snow all will be covered in snow here and I think I am almost ready for it. In my part of the country we are in much need for rain and snow. Our reservoirs are dry and so we really do need it.
Thank you so much for your visit and sweet words. I love it when you come by. It is like seeing a favored friend at my door.
sending warm hugs your way...

Dear Jane, so lovely to see a post from you. Beautiful words, taking time to listen is something we should all do more often, I have been taking time out recently to slow down, read lots, listen and watch. It is a healing & soothing process. sending hugs x x x
