Wow that was long time away....!
I have a good reason though, I suddenly had to have my appendix out, and I've been recovering
v......e...r....yyyyy slowly unfortunately.   It does seem to take a lot longer to recover from anything when you have M.E.  The disappointing thing is that I actually came though the operation and just after really well and was discharged home after only two days, my G.P. couldn't believe how good I seemed and when I walked past him he said,"My word you're walking like a teenager!"  But it's gone downhill steadily since then, and last week I did my back in as well.  Ah well, C'est la vie!
Just thought I'd let you all in on where I've been all that time, and hope to be back blogging again very soon.

Dearest Jane,
It was wonderful to catch a glimpse into what you've been up to although I should say recovering from.
I think of my British blogger friends hoping that the recent Brexit results will not harm you or your way of life. Living here way across the pond we are more sheltered from the huge influx of refugees (although we have made welcome 25,000 plus in the last six months hoping they will grow to love this vast country as much as we do) and the perils that are plaguing your country ...

We are in the middle of a heat wave and very dry spell and hope for rain each passing day. It has been perfect weather for the cherry crop and my cucumbers are coming on fast having made relish and a batch of pickles thus far so somethings love the dry heat.

Do take care and best wishes for a speedy full recovery.

Oh, dammit, Jane !!! I thought you were getting on so well. Hang in there, my lady, the Lord is looking over you. Now about the illegals and/or refugees? I could talk all day on this subject.
Sending love....

Oh Jane .... it never rains but it pours !!!! Hope that you are recovering nicely now ...... also, as we get older, everything seems to take longer to heal, doesn't it ?
Hope that you are putting your feet up and watching Wimbledon .... look after yourself and am always thinking of you. Lots of love. XXXX

Sorry to hear you've had to have surgery and have done your back in. Hope you are well and truly on the mend now and are much better soon. Sending you good vibes!

I had to have my appendix out, too, so I can sympathize. Unfortunately, I had emergency surgery on 31 August, 2001 and was supposed to move house on 23 September! It was a forced move -- the Texas Department of Transportation had condemned the building where I lived and I had to be out by 25 September because that's when the building was due to be demolished to make way for a highway! Since TxDoT was forcing me to move, they had to pay for it, and I had already opted to have the movers pack everything and box it up prior to moving it, or I don't know what I would have done. I had a 6-inch incision, I couldn't drive for 3 weeks following the surgery, couldn't lift over 10 pounds for 4 weeks. The day of the move I had to put my 3 cats in their carriers in my standard shift car (with a clutch) and drive them to their new house -- I only unpacked what I absolutely had to have, and I took my time with everything else.

Oh Jane, you've been through the wringer haven't you? I hope you just take it easy and let yourself heal. It's important to take it so easy after surgery, especially that kind of surgery. The older we get the longer it takes too. Know that you are always on my mind because you are such a dear friend to me.
I have been a very bad blogger and I don't even have an excuse. I hope I get back to it more consistently soon.
Much love from here...
